Concrete Day!

We left the house this morning at 7am to go pick up the Georgia Buggy. The rental company (United Rentals in Hampton) is about an hours drive. Concrete will be delivered between 11:30 and 1 so we wanted to get there and get back to ensure we are ready. The rental was extremely easy and United Rentals was very organized and quickly loaded the Georgia Buggy on our trailer. It wasn’t even 15 minutes and we were back on the road heading home.

Concrete arrived at 12:05. The Georgia buggy made it very easy to move the concrete. I estimated it would be just a little more than 3 1/2 yards to pour the slab so I ordered 4 yards.

It took just over 3 1/2 yards and the slab was poured!

I had to do something with the rest of the cement so I used the rest of the 1/2 yard to fill in around my bee hives. The entire process of pouring the 4 yards of cement took just 40 minutes. That Georgia Buggy was worth every penny!

Now we can rest while the slab cures. We’ll go get the cinder blocks next week.
