I have been able to keep the pain manageable with Tylenol every 8 hours. I don’t want to get hooked on pain meds so I am very careful with their use.
Today we finished the cement board on the counters. I say we, actually my wife finished the work. I handed her the screws and used the saw to cut a few pieces. I cannot lift anything over 20 pounds and at this stage, don’t want to lift anything at all. The stitches need time to heal and I sure don’t want anything opening back up!
Queles did a fantastic job putting on the cement board. Once we finished, we showered and went to Harbor Freight to get a couple tarps to cover the counters until we can finish them. The ride was a little painful but I made it. We got home and covered the counters and I watched helplessly as Queles carried cinder blocks to hold down the tarps.
Now we just have to wait for the Pizza Oven to arrive! It was supposed to ship today. I sent a message and got a reply stating that the oven would be painted tomorrow, then fired to break it in, then shipped on Tuesday. It’s getting closer!
