<\/p>\nWe’ve kept the slab covered with plastic. It’s been three days so we removed the forms. A great tip from a Youtube video – cover the screws with a piece of duct tape so the cement doesn’t get in the screw head. This worked great! We removed the tape and the screws were perfect. I removed the screws and then pulled the forms off. Overall the quality of the pour is very good. We are very happy with the way it turned out.<\/p>\n

We are going camping at the beach for the weekend so I will cover the slab back up with plastic and let it continue to cure. I’ve ordered Tanzfrosch 12 Pack 4 inch Diamond Polishing Pads Set Wet\/Dry Polishing Kit 10pcs from Amazon.<\/p>\n

It will arrive Wednesday. We will sand the edges smooth. I don’t plan on polishing the entire concrete slab. The oven will sit on most of it. We’ll stucco the sides of the top slab and it will have a granite top on the overhang in front of the oven.<\/p>\n
Heading to the beach for some well deserved rest!<\/p>\n
