Missed Freezing – 34 degrees

Temps dropped to 34 degrees!

The plants were covered with buckets and seem to be okay. The Eggplant are having a hard time with the cold but after a day in the sun they look better. This is a picture of the plants this morning when the buckets were removed. Tonight the temps are supposed to get to 38 so I think I’m going to leave the buckets off. After tonight the temps will continuously get better.

Hopefully the plants will survive and start to get stronger. Next year I’ll have to think twice about taking a chance with planting early.
